Sarah Petherick Long Handled Spoon, Rosewood

This slender, long handled spoon is perfect for stirring cocktails and eating ice cream sundaes. Made from smooth, polished rosewood, it can reach the bottom of the deepest jar. Whether you’re stirring a latte or adding sugar to a glass of iced tea, this extra-long spoon is an elegant and practical addition to your cutlery drawer.

Each piece is individually hand carved and finished by highly skilled craftsmen. The tableware is made using waste materials: rosewood off-cuts from a furniture maker and water buffalo horn that would otherwise be discarded and incinerated. Due to the natural material of the product, some pieces may have natural markings – each one is unique.

Not dishwasher safe.

Inspired by her mother’s collection of antique silver spoons, Sarah designed and launched a range of horn cutlery with British hallmarked silver. It went on to win an award for ‘Outstanding Design’ presented by the British Interior Design Association in May 2003. Sarah uses 3D models, rather than drawings, to design and refine her pieces so she can visualise them in real space.
